本作（5作目）は、現 Smithsonian Folkwys よりリリースされていた『 Music from the South 』
シリーズ（2集、3集）より Horace Sprott の音源をカットしたもの。 内容は、1954年にアラバマ
で Frederic Ramsey Jr. がフィールド・レコーディングしたもので Horace Sprott の歌う Blues,
Negro Spirituals Song, Work Song が聴けます。ハーモニカによる楽曲以外は、すべて無伴奏
の歌ものです。（彼の母親と祖母によるセッションもあり。）オリジナルはインタヴューも収録さ
れていたので、続けて聴きたい方へはこちらがオススメ。アメリカ南部の貴重なアーカイヴです！
